Hey all, Graham here.
We ran a competition at PAX Prime last year where people competed on two of the levels from Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack for a chance to get their likeness put into the game. Competition was fierce near the end with the top competitors continually knocking each other out of first place.
With development over, we wanted to share the final results of this with everyone.
In first place for the Moon level, we had gamer and overall nice-guy who went by the handle “Geems”.
In first place on the Desert level, we had PAX neighbor, and gaming virtuoso “PWG”, aka Andy Nguyen, associate producer on Monaco.
The runners up on each of the two levels were friends of the studio “Chris” and “Eeease” (aka Eric) from PSNStores.com. The competition was so close and with first place changing hands so many times we really wanted to include these guys in the game as well.
Thanks again to everyone who came out to see us at PAX. Keep a lookout for these guys in the early levels of Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, coming soon to a Vita near you!
We thought it would be fun to share and old elevator pitch video that we made awhile back for Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (coming soon to a PlayStation Vita near you!).
Maybe we take things a bit too literally because we filmed this video in a freight elevator. For safety reasons the elevator was not moving (the last inspection was in 2006).
The video introduces the main character of Mutant Blobs Attack, and gives an overview of the type of gameplay to expect, along with some old game footage. Check it out:
Regarding the quality, only the latest in recording technology (iPhone 4), and editing technology (Windows Movie Maker) was used for the making of this pitch video.
Hey everyone, Graham here.
In case you missed it last week, some new details have been released for Mutant Blobs Attack. Check out the full press release HERE, and keep your eyes open for lots of cool new info coming out over the next few weeks.
Hopefully you’ve all had a delicious belly full holidays, we certainly have. But apparently there is a game to finish?
Just wanted to give a holla to Curtis over at PSNStores who kindly gave Tales from Space: About a Blob a nod as one of his PSN GOTY picks for 2011. w00t.
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you’ve all had your fill of holiday turkey and cranberry sauce.
We should probably have posted this about a week and a half ago, but better late than never so here goes: Sony recently put out a list of U.S. PS Vita launch titles. Lo and behold, there we are about 3/4 of the way down the “Third Party Launch Day Titles” section. Amazing! You can find this list on most big gaming sites at this point.
Granted, our game is mysteriously listed as “Tales of Space: Mutant Blobs” (I love how both halves contain a typo/mistake of some kind ). Regardless, we’re very excited to be in there.. Right next to Katamari, even.
Now we just have to finish! Updates coming soon.
